Explorer OHC with sunroof button

Ok I made the mistake of getting the explorer ohc with the sunroof button. So I know from searching that it doesn't have the same mounting bracket and thus makes it a pita to mount. But also from various pm's and searching I found out that Gopher i think used one. But anyone else who has this certain type of ohc please show/tell me how to mount it because I don't want to waste my money on this thing. I guess there's always ebay.....

Oh I can always go back to get any missing parts, but the junkyard didn't have any explorers without a sunroof. I appreciate greatly all the help you can give!!!

You got a bonus!

The sensor on the left (edit, said "right" first, lol) with the blue wires is for the OHC.

The other one with the reddish wires is the exterior sensor for the EATC. You have now scored one of the parts needed for that mod as well.

Maybe you could use the button to operate a pair of bumper mounted driving lights

I would like to mount it without having to cut the ohc. I know someone out there did it without cutting it. But yours still looks good, just not what I want

Thanks Zach (good looking truck by the way)!!!

0RangerEdge2 - I just sent you a PM. Also, check out the install pics below:

Custom color matched to Silver Frost.

Front Bracket - A lot shorter than the garage door OHC version.

Notice the missing headliner foam from the small hole. This is where the end on the OHC that would normally install to the sunroof of the Explorer fits in and allows the headliner to be used as support.

Headliner installed with appropriate wires ran.

Installed with sunroof button to work as an aux stereo turn on/off button.
