Radio Bezel Question

Radio Bezel Question

Hey today i painted my radio bezel white but it didn't turn out to good so tomorrow im going to sand it down and redo it. The question is how fine of sand paper should i use to sand it down?

Did you take the old rubber crap off of it before you painted it? Anyway.....I peeled off the rubber the best i could, then used 200grit to get rid of the rest. I followed that up with either 400 or 500grit on the entire bezel. I primed using Rust-oleum Auto grey primer, sanded that with i think 750 or so, then a light coat of prime, then on goes to color. I used John Deere Blitz Black....very close to stock color, just a little more shine....i guess it's considered Satin Black. That's how I did it.

ok i think im gonna start over ahah i didnt do any prep to it so maybe that is why it turned out the way it did thanks guys

you got any b4 and after pics? im interrested in doing this too, just curious as to what the end product can look like

Daniel, I don't think you would want to see the other Daniel's pics. I have a comparo shot of mine vs. a stock bezel.....flash doesn't really help though.....

i took 1 hour to sand mine down get the old paint off and that coat of rubber **** off. I just put the second coat on and it is turning out really nice cant wait to put it back in

looks nice, although, yeah, dirty, but it's a truck so w/e that happens, thx for the pics definately going to have to look into this as a mod hat'll hold me over till i get my lights/push bar/etc hooked up
