If you mean the air doesn't go where it should or the air flow is low and you still hear the fan then a common issue is the Blend Door.

Google: ford ranger blend door

Explorer, Ranger, and most ford trucks used the same setup

The blend door is moving from hot to cold, but I can't get the unit go from defrost to vent or floor, how can you check the selector, the vacuum side. I think it's time to check all vacuum line & tank for this side

First look in the engine bay for a Black Plastic Sphere, that is the vacuum storage tank.

Should have two hard plastic vacuum hoses attached, some just have one line and a Check valve, you will see it if you follow the one line.
From storage tank or check valve will be a line to the intake manifold, that's the vacuum source.
The "other line" will go to the firewall and into the cab, this is the vacuum line that makes the air direction doors work.

First check if the storage tank can hold a vacuum, put a hose on it and suck on the end of the hose.
Follow the Vacuum Source line to intake manifold and make sure it is hooked up.

Put cab selector to OFF, then suck on the line going thru firewall it should hold a vacuum.

looked in the engine bay and found the lines 2 lines from the firewall, 1 white line didn't go anywhere, 1 black line goes to vacuum tank, second line from the tank broken , but found connection for it & fixed it, most of the system works now, got to find where the white line goes. I thank you for all of your help with this problem... I will find where this line belongs & fix it

Good work.

Thanks for posting the fix, should help others in the future.

White line often goes to a vacuum actuator on/near blower housing, I think it is for A/C, but not sure.
