I wired everything up and have it installed. Looks great but the display is not working. I don't have anything to test it to see if it has power to it. What do I do? Or is it broke and I need to find a new one.

 

Double check all of your wiring, I had the same problem but some of my wire taps werent clamped on good enough. Also make sure you used a good power source. The display will only come on with the ignition turn on wire, the lamps come on with the dome lamps, so just make sure that power wire is good.

 

did u test it before u put it in?
when i bought mine i pluged the wiring harnest in and found the power and ground wire and put it up to my battery to make sure it light up.

 

Yeah, when I did mine the first thing I did was make sure it worked. Just check the power and ground like reangererv said and that will tell you right away if it works.

 

Thanks for all the reply's. I actually spent a long time searching for answers then my wife came home and wanted to see it installed. Went out side very frustrated and came back a happy man. I turned the key and it was a miracle. Works like a champ. I took it down and painted it. Hopefully I will be able to put pics up later this week. Along with the other painted pics.

heres the thing. I have an old digital camera it records on disks and the disk drive on my computer does not work so the pics prolly wont be up till wednesday at the earliest. I will post them at work.

 

So it didnt work.....the wife sat in it.....and it worked.
