where are you guys mounting these big inverters? I have a 2000W vector inverter and thing is huge

For a 2000W , I'd mount it under the hood as close to the battery as possible. Even if you have to fab brackets for it , you should keep the primary wires as short as you can.

No space under the hood...there's nothing wrong with a 10-15ft run of power wire as long as you use the appropriate wire gauge. Just wanna know where people have mounted it because I saw no space

How well does a 2000W inverter work with the stock electrical system? I wouldn't think it could keep up....

no idea, i never installed it...i did have it on an 05 silverado and would have the truck running when using it.....I had an optima yellow top in that truck and never had any problems...wasnt using the inverter for hours either.
