Icon6 Just an idea ive been bouncing along with

So we've all seen the inside of an airplanes cockpit.

well im fascinated with them, so heres my idea.

reroute almost everything to switches

i mean everything from fuel pump to head lights *yes i know theres already a switch :D*

and install it in panels overhead and dash

idk ive been awake for a few days and just been thinking

comments?

Maybe if it was for something not detrimental to the running of the truck..like radio..lights..stuff like that. Seems like it'd be a heck of a job!

Define detrimental, becuase if i end up racing my truck (ha ha) then i would do this anyway in a sense....im not stupid when it comes to systems in my truck so if i know its not going to work i wont do it....for instance the windshield wiper controls for intermittent....im not messin with that lol

This idea is dumb. Too many ways to attack it I just am too lazy. If you want an airplane go buy a gdamn airplane.

if you have the skill to do it do but dont mess with things that could leave your truck dead and not able to be driving

If thats what you want, go for it. everyone on here, adds mods to there truck. i happen to like the racing style guages and think it would look awesome. Just dont cut corners on the finished product. its gotta look well refined, and almost perfect, to look good.

As someone who actually flys airplanes, there's not switches for everything like you're thinking. There's just more controls. A car doesn't have flaps, you don't control the fuel mixture, you have a gas pedal, you don't adjust the altitude, there's no landing gear. There's a reason you don't have all these extra switches in your truck. Plus how many things can you actually put on a switch? The radio, the fuel pump, the lights, the interior light, the hood light, the windows? That's going to look stupid.

If you were building something from scratch for lets say.... Peterson 4 wheel and off road ultimate adventure then ok fine or if it is going to be a show truck...ok fine but dont do it just for something to do. Besides if you ever go to try and sell the truck it will be a pain in the a$$
