They look nice, but I'd castrate myself climbing over that bolster.

Yep Custom console is up on the list now that I don't have an armrest anymore lol And there is a bracket that has been removed that lets the bolster flex so you don't crush the jewels getting in and out. It has taken a lil practice learning how to get in and out but I have got it down now.

yes it is a good thing
yes it is a good thing

I don't think that they would pass inspection if you really wanted to go racing though.

I figured that I would answer both of your posts.

I was gonna say, because djayenos has similar seats, and I nailed myself in the package getting out of his truck.

Agreed! It takes some practice to get in and out of those without smashing "the boys"....

I got goosed in Djaye's truck getting out as well when I sat in it in Centralia.

On the other hand, those seats are suprisingly comfortable and nice.

I am getting Djaye's old seats from him which are two-tone black and gray to "upgrade" my gray-only seats in my truck.

Yeah, I liked the black/grey seats in my 03 alot better than the all-grey seats in my 02. Def. a good upgrade! :)

Dont forget that harnesess can be extreamly dangerous in a non-caged truck. If you should happen to roll the harness will hold you straight up and there by crushing you... hate to be blunt about it,but its the truth. Just something to think about....

Never thought about that, dont those seats release fairly quickly?

Like a go-kart belt, pull and its off?

I know the do's and don'ts about mounting harnesses. I want to smack people that mount them to the floor. Harnesses and a support bar are already in the making to mount the harnesses to. I am also going to have to take my box out and modify it for the harnesses. I am also purchasing an explorer center console.

tight

Your seats are TIGHT! I got an 04 Ranger edge and I am currently looking for new seats. Its got the stock 60/40 seats and I can't stand them. Were your seats easy to install? Any mods to the original bracket or did the universal slider fit?

I had to make custom brackets to mount the seats. If FTW would ever come back online then you could see the brackets. How much do you want for your stock seats with the brackets and seatbelt buckles? I know someone that is looking for some stockers to do a project on.

My last visit here had red, x's, but now it works to view it.

Hey when you get that link for the FTW article you had for the seats, post it up, I'm sure others will read it to get some ideas for their own seats.
