Leather Mountaineer Seats

Is there any way to get these to fit a Ranger? Without rebuilding them...

Not without redoing the seat tracks. There is a member here who did do it so search around and you may find out what all he did.

I think if you swap the your seat tracks to the new seats they will work fine. You may also have to swap the seat belt pre-tensionors.

I cant tell how the tracks can be swaped. The original tracks look so differnet from the new ones.

Anybody have any diagrams or pictures of how they mount? I would really love to use these seats, they are so nice.

I looked at the bottom of the seats. I can't see how the tracks are attached.

If I can't find someone who knows how to take these apart I guess I will look for something that will fit without modification.

do you have a pic of the tracks of the mountaineer seats? if not ask the seller if they can send you a pic. Then post it up here. We'll be able to help better that way.

Im 99.9% sure that the seats in the truck Im getting are explorer seats, which are the same. They are in there and work, But even with them all the way forward I feel too far back. I will probably end up modifying them so that they will go further forward.

These are out of an 02 which is the problem. The seats from an 01 down are direct bolt in.

Do you know what year Explorer your seats came out of?

the front mounting holes need to be angled down, not straight w/the track. If anything you might be able to switch brackets.

I got my seats from a 98 Expo.

New seats are wider since the Exploder is now wider. I don't think you will be able to use a center consle with those seats. Anything is possible though.
