you have white w/ black gauges? don't you mean black w/ white? You sand the back of the 'overlay'. Yes, if you go too deep, you could possibly eat through.

wet sanding w/ no lower than 220g sandpaper. soapy water, soaking sandpaper in soapy water, soaked overlay then get to sanding away.

If you are careful, you have nothing to worry about. That's a worse case deal if you are not paying attention while sanding.

you wont mess it up unless you fall asleep with the powersander on....

I wet sanded it. Worked awesome for me. Ask Shane. His is the one I did the write up on.

well i got all the wireing done just waiting on the paint to dry....tomarrow night ill put everything back together....trepaul86 i got another question for you...did you put led in the areas that are red??

I did, but those aren't the like tach and speedo lights... Those are indicator lights. You can change those to a wedge style which might be easier. It's up to you though. Every bulb behind mine is LED, Shane's on the other hand I I left like that picture you took because he had different colored indicators than me.

EDIT: Remember when you put your gauge clusters back on to do it at night and do it in the truck. That way you can aim your clusters and spread the light evenly.

I would put foil tape everywhere you can so you can shoot the light in every direction making it fill the cluster even more even.

Foil tape acts like a mirror. It bounces the light around and makes it fill more even. Use it wherever you can. It made a big difference for me.

ok so got the gauges back in kinda...well got it in and was planning on putting the needles on tonight...well the truck wanted to be gay.....tryed to start it and it wouldnt...sounded like the battery was dead...but the check gage light was on and when i turned the key to run the theft light would blink too???? dont get it
