you could make them work either way. but i think i might go with Evan in saying how low they would sit, which is why its hard to mix and match car and truck seat applications

Having owned a '90 Mustang GT, I can say that those seats really were not comfortable even in brand new condition. I would suggest finding some 95-01 Explorer seats. In either cloth or leather, they are more comfy than even the bucket seats that were OEM in my Ranger and most had power controls too. They are a direct bolt in too which makes them easy to put in.

Yeah, mustang seats are NOT comfortable.. i have friends that have them, even up to 04 they had the same basic shape, I wouldnt even imagine how they would feel like in a truck...I've had explorer leather seats before, then went back to my chopped bench seat, i liked my ranger seats much better, support wise. Good luck with your decision though!

should have matt take one out and put it in and see if you like it. im wondering how much upholstering costs, if its not alot and the seat fits good then go for it.

do not do it. Get seats out of the explorer or something else. After 1 good hour of riding it those seats your butt will hurt.

cant say 100% but they should just bolt straight to your seat tracks

What year? Is it the "upgrade" seats? with the front "ottoman style front extension built in"? Curious. As I hated those seats in my mustang. Was so uncomfortable. I drove that thing on a road trip and hated it. Switched to 4 cylinder BASIC seats and they were 50x more comfortable.

Replace all the foam cushions with new ones and they are very supportive...:)
