Oem Guages?

How would I go about changing my stock gauges from black to the white on newer models?

You must use 04+ gauge clusters in your truck. Check out ebay for used EDGE/SPORT cluster. Usually runs $30-60 for a complete used cluster. It's a direct swap, your basically replacing your cluster entirely. But...I am completely unsure about the mileage meter on 04+ trucks. So I mgiht be talking out my butt though. Don't know much about the 04+ trucks electronics.

The swap itsself is very very easy. There should be a how to to replace your bulbs...follow that to pull the cluster.

They have these now they are basially a sticker you put on over. You keep the same green light from behind

Has anyone installed these yet (04+)? I don't see how they would work w/o removing stock overlay first.

I don't see how a sticker overlay could be installed w/o removing needles. I've installed indaglo over needles but those arn't sticky on the back.

As for the cluster swap I beleve the 00+ Focus keeps mileage in the ECU and the Odomoter. 04+ is probably the same. I am told that a Ford dealership can match the new odo to your current mileage but you also have to pay them to install it so it gets the exact milage at time of swap. The whole odo fraud thing.

LUCKILY, since those overlays are for single gauges, you CAN put them on with the neetles still in place. It's the dual gauges overlays(like mine) that suck trying to put it on w/o removing the neetles.

You would have to take your time but here is how I see how you can do it without removing the needle. Kind of bow the material in the middle and slide it under the needle. Then carefully work it to the other side so the needle is now in the center and then place them. The only thing I would worry about is getting bumps or the sticker not perfectly matching up.

I might be wrong but the 04+ needles wont even come off
