Mazda B Shift ****

Do Mazdas have different shift ***** than Rangers from the Factory? I was with my sister looking at VW New Beetles and spotted a Mazda B. I took a look at the inside and the shift **** looked as if it was different. Anybody with a stickshift manual have a picture of theirs? I think it looked better but it could have been aftermarket. I didn't want to bother with a salesman...

I've seen this also. Stock ***** changed probably in the middle of the '01 model year run. Myself and my brother used to have the one where the "shift pattern indicator" was a seperate piece placed into the ball. The newer style is a bigger ball w/ the indicators embossed or whatever in the ball....no seperate piece.

I could be wrong with this...WowMike's '01 has the newer ball on it. It could be a different plant w/ a different shifter. i really don't know.

I'm talking about the basic, standard *****. Fx4 ***** are completely different and big.

Don't think so. I know they had the carbon fiber bezel though.

I've seen folks take their stock **** off and glue on/hammer on a new aftermarket ricer ****....
