OHC Question

So I was at the JY today and found a Mec. Mountain with an ohc...my question is, is that the same as and exploters? It looks the same

Mountaineers and Explorers are the same under the skin. To get a compatible console for your Ranger, look for a 95~01 Ex or Mountie. The early ones have blue displays, 98-up are green.

OK so i got the OHC but forgot the temp sensor and one have pics of what it looks like

It will look like one of these, depending on the year. You can use either one. Be sure that it has blue/yellow and blue/white wires on the pigtail. If it has red/orange and pink/black wires, it will NOT work with the overhead console.

what gauge is the wire coming from the ohc

The overhead console wiring is 20ga and 22ga.
