Green/Orange(GN/OR) - Map light power (goes to the dome light)
Black/Blue(BK/BL) - Dome light power (goes to the dome light)
thats what i did...
i have power.
just want it to automatically turn on with the door. not by only hitting the button.

Map function of the console:
Power from the green/orange is controlled by the 2 map switches to allow the 2 bulbs to act as map lights that can be turned on or off individually.
(Light green/orange of console tapped into light green/orange of the factory Ranger dome.)
Dome function of the console:
Power from the black/light blue bypasses the map light switches to turn on both console bulbs when the factory dome is powered.
(Black/light blue of console tapped into black/light blue of factory Ranger dome.)
If your factory dome works and the dome function of the console does not, then it is either miswired or something is wrong with the console.

i soldered mine and i got the molten solder on my hand lol it was a good experience i can tell u that haha. but once you hook it up to the dome light, it should power on when you open the door. Mine works fine.

is that my power one or what?
The red/black color code is used on the later Explorer consoles. It is for the dimmer feature, the equivalent of the light blue/red called out in the how to.
