painted a little bit
You think so?? I think the paint starts to flake after a while and stuff right?? I wonder if the interior would smell of paint, if i painted it all
IIRC its just help up there with some screws. Take the ashtray out and just look around for some screws and keep taking them out. The switch itself is just held on to the plastic with 2 screws.
Don't use cheap paint either.
To get the paint smell out use a fragrance when done Or leave the windows down over night for a couple days
Be SURE to remove the negative battery cable.
Then I think you just drop down the glove box using the little tab/buttons on the side, and you can get at it that way. If I remember it just bolts in and out.
I think there might be something about this in the EATC install on John Griggs' cardomain.
Looks good. Don't think I would do the ENTIRE interior in black. Because then you'll start wanting to paint those same parts you now have black something else, so you have an accent color again. Think you might just do the glove box door and maybe part or all of the door panels. Be sure to clean the surface well, then the adhesion promoter, then the paint. Only took a couple of days of window down driving to get rid of the oder. Mine has been on for almost a year now with no flaking problems.
I was talking about the plastic peace that holds the sensor. I was just saying that the sensor is only fastened to the plastic by 2 screws.
id paint the radio bezel and the black pieces on the doors too, so all the parts that are black, are the same color black.
also the front section of the dash.
when i painted the interior or my f150 i sanded all the pieces smooth, sprayed a PPG 2k high build primer, wet sanded it and hit it with a single stage urethane paint and it held up great. just make sure ya spend more time with prep work and anything ya paint can look good
parts of the dash are that vynil type material... i would not paint that. if something hit it and compressed it some it would crack the paint
