Painting Interior Pieces

My question is.....Do you have to use vinyl paint? If you ordered some paint from Ford would that work....

I painted my interior pieces with blue paint I got at auto zone and it looks good, but I'm starting to get a little more detailed about the color and stuff. So I want to paint it to match my exterior....My exterior is a dark/midnight metallic blue. So is it possible to order that paint from Ford, do the whole painting process and it work?..and if it's not....Got any Ideas for a new color?

does duplicolor have a colomatch for your color? i'd check for that first, as it'll be much cheaper than getting it from ford.

I used duplicolor spray paint and it worked out pretty well. If you are looking for an exact color match, talk to Granitguy, he can get you some most likely under dealer cost. Also, he should be able to tell you how it will hold up to use in an interior.

when i painted mine i just used auto paint, just grease remove, sand then grease remove again before you paint.....the only reason i say grease remove first is like most people you armorall your dash...but like 1 loud truck said watch out for the bezal my rubber was worn in some places and it lifted the paint pretty bad........ if you want an exact color for your truck most good bodyshops or paint supply stores can put a computer on your truck and mix your color for ya.....it will even account for the fading if ya have any........but i personaly wouldnt order the paint from ford........just get your paint code, if i remember right it should be either in the glovebox or in the driver door jam, it will be on the bottom of the sticker and should say "bc\cc" somewhere around the code.... o yea i forgot to say if you do go with auto paint make sure you use primer before you paint....
