Radio Console

The bezel around the radio and air-conditioning and vents...

Is there a way to resurface it?

It's got scratches and some nice slices in it from when I put in a switch, can it be fixed?

it has a rubber coating

so you would have to sand all of it off, and then paint it

I'd have to look at the thing then...

Sanding it may just make the fit that I got for it atm, worse...

well, if you look around at some of the threads where people have done interior painting you'll see that that rubber can be sanded off and then with a couple coats of primer then hit it with some color and a clear. i did this awhile ago and changed the color to blue then recently to black. I havent had a single problem with it since.

paint bezel

I just redid mine a week ago in Krylon Fusion paint. Specially made for plastic. Removed radio and trim, stripped paint with Goof Off and med coarse scotchbrite pad, laboriously, most strippers damage plastic?
Came out really nice, satin finish a little more shiny than stock but not gloss.
Most stores carry Krylon fusion or do a web search for mail order.
