Radio light display

I just found this site and have spent the day reading the forums.
I have a 2000 XLT 4x4. exended cab.
I just bought this truck and everything works but the radio light. I'd really liek to know what time it is.
Does anyone have a fix for the faceplate on these trucks?

sound like you need to replace the radio unless someone knows something i dont if you need one i have one out of a 2002 XLT cd/radio only problem is its painted candy apple red but you could swap faceplates if they are the same

Mine is out of a XLT and is a single CD Radio.
wonder haow hard to change the face plate?

^^^^^what that guy said. No clue if it's replaceable.....might be easier to get a new radio. Might even be cheaper because that's probably a ford part. There's gobs of them single cd/am/fm units out there. I've got three. lol.

Common problem! It's solder joint cracks in the DC to DC power supply for the
