Removing door handle

I'm trying to remove the interior door handle, I drilled out the rivet thinking that was all that was holding it in, but it's not comming out easy and I don't want to break it. Anybody got some info or pics to help me out? Thanks!

Do you have any pictures? You're confusing me a bit. The door handle is screwed into place with the black inner panel that holds switches (if powered locks, windows). You remove the two screws below the handle, then grab the handle and pull, and the whole assembly will be removed. Then, use a phillips head screwdriver to remove the two screws on both ends of the handle and voila!

It should be only held on by the rivets. Then you have to pull it back a little because I think it has a little lip on the front side. It may be a little different on yours, but thats how mine came out.
