Scan Guage Mounting
i mounted it by lifting the keyhole assembly for the airbag(always on, never messed with it once), there is plenty of room for it to sit inside the bezel area, i zip tied it secure right above where its original location. then i just used the guage holder, the part with the ball at the end, and stuck it through the hole where the key used to go in the airbag control, then i just double zip tied it on the other side of the plastic at the narrow part of the ball. solid as a rock.
also, its not as if you are looking at the guage constantly, most ppl just glance at it here n there which takes less time than texting/eating/messing w radio/finding stuff in car/or looking over ur shoulder to see the next lane. the clip is easy to dismount if u want to mess with the actual guage.

Some people dont like it low because they use it as their speedometer. This is a non issue for me; i just want one for the CEL diagnostic and MPG readout and everything else it can do is just an added perk. i have no need to constantly look at the thing while I'm moving.
Ya. And also if its mounted higher it lights up the whole cab. I don't want anyone else seeing in my truck. With this spot it just lights up the center console enough for it to be helpful but not allow anyone else to see in.
