Seats: 2011 Reg Cab in 2004 Reg Cab?
With all of the information available online, and particularly this forum, I couldn't find the exact answer to this question...though I have my suspicions. I bought some super (kind of) cheap 60/40 seats from a 2011 regular cab Ranger and I want to put them in my 2004 regular cab Ranger. I assumed regular cab to regular cab would fit, but, the 2011 seats are NOT halo style like the original ones in my 2004. I didn't realize that until after I bought them but I figured regular cab to regular cab... Any chance they'll fit?

I'm beginning to suspect that clearance won't be the issue so much as putting air-bag seats in a non-airbag-seat Ranger. I'm guessing it won't just be that the seat air-bags themselves won't be functional, but that it will also mess with the sensors/wiring for the stock safety features on my 2004...

Another update: While I am not physically working on this replacement at the moment, it's 10 degrees outside and we just got 9 inches of snow...I am working with a JustAnswer mechanic on the issue of putting the 2011 seats in the 2004 as far as how the pre-tensioners and wiring harnesses work between the two. If I come up with something solid, I will share it here for future reference.

I put 2001 Explorer seats in my 2003 Ford Ranger. That generation of Explorer use a different belt system, and no pre-tensioner. I wanted to keep my stock stuff, so attached my pre-tensioners to the Explorer seats the same way they were attached to the Ranger seat frames. Worked great and I feel they're even stronger now than they were on the factory seats.
