so... for those interested what day of the week is preferred? I have a feeling Saturday will be a popular choice, I'd almost prefer a sunday afternoon though. October weekends starting on the 1st, the 22nd, and the 29th would be the best options for me. those are all saturdays but like I said i prefer a sunday if possible, and i can also do friday afternoons.

if we get dross93ranger to come, he's in maysville, he'll provide a nice contrast to your truck josh haha.

and supposedly theres a few others in the area. Maybe if we start some official meet threads on a fwe forums people will show up.

there's also that group on here that we dont see much that goes to LBL all the time. think his name's john that usually posts in here.

so... i say set a date and pick etown for lex.... and see who is interested

Lexington gets my vote. Parkette Drive in. October 1st or 2nd. I'll talk to John and the Turkey Bay boys about coming too. Let me know if that sounds good to you. Hopefully the Ranger will be in town by then.

AND haha ranger trannies are easy to pull :) i pulled mine and had a front seal put in and put back in in 4 days XD the ypipe is a biatch tho haha

Hey guys,

It looks like the first Kentucky Ranger meet turned out well. Wish I could have made it ...
I've been really busy putting in a lot of hours on my 2004 DSG Ranger FX4 Level 1 that I just bought. A giant tree fell on the cab and bed. I'm talking like a ginormous tree that was like 5' in diameter.
I got the bed pulled off and I finally got the cab lifted off the frame. I pulled the whole dash out by myself.(that was one hell of a job.)
I'm going to be getting a new cab in IL around Wednesday and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in making a few extra dollars helping me put this truck back together.
I'd really like to find someone that likes working on Rangers and I don't really want to do the whole "CraigsList" thing again, but I will if it comes down to that.

I noticed that truck had knox county tags on it, I lived in neighboring blount county up until I moved here to bg

 

Yeah, It's a lot of work ... I think the hardest part is behind me now which was the disassembly. I worked 6 hours just lifting up the damaged cab just so I could test drive it.
I originally bought the truck to do a automatic transmission conversion because I'm getting tired of my 5-speed then I removed the bed and there wasn't any damage to the frame. So I figured I'd just get a new Cab and a new bed and sell my black truck.

That would be great ... what kind of work have you done on Rangers?
I got the truck in North Knoxville, you probably seen it before. The guy that had it is driving a Subaru Forester or a Outback now and he said it's nothing like his Ranger.
He hated to see it go, and I felt bad for driving off with it. He owned the truck since it was new, so he was really attached to it.

 

It was a huge tree. It was like one of those trees you mainly see in parks. It got got uprooted by some high winds back in May. There was all kinds of bad storms down South earlier this year.

 

That would be awesome ... are you pretty familiar with hooking up electrical connections on the 04 + Rangers?
I tried to send you a PM, but the option isn't there.
One of the main things I need help with is lowering the new cab back into place and getting the dash put back in. There's 100s of electrical connections, it's pretty crazy.
