You got until summer man. I know i can find a truck before then, but to find the right truck is the problem. all i keep seeing around here is 3.0/2wd trucks. the really nice ones people want an outrageous amount of money for.
Theres a dealer in Ann Arbor who has a NICE 2004 4.0/4x4 Edge, Reg cab, with 87k, but he wants 15k for it.

Rent a car and buy a beater up there. Use AAA to tow it home for you then sell or part out.

I've wanted to go to one of these trips.

Toward the end of May would be best for me. Assuming my job offer is official I will start in June, then I will probably have to wait until August to take off enough time for the trip

Yup. Be honest and say this is planned and I need the extra week for it. Don't hide it from them. If it is official keep an eye on our trip date and see if you can make it. If not no biggie. I think we are trying to plan early enough in the summer so a second trip could be planned. I hate only making one trip. I'd love to go more then once and I'm sure there are others that agree.

The idea was kicked around about renting a cabin. I am considering looking at property around there and seeing if there is anything nice.

I've gotta debate what im going to do. Justin is staying at Silver Sands again this year (hotel i also stayed at) so i might either camp or stay at the hotel. the rates are really good and after getting tossed around in your own truck during the day its nice to have a bed lol.

Camping is half the fun pedro, its always fun to bullshit around the fire. but i suppose that happens anyways and you just walk down the street and yer home. whenever the first time i went 3 years ago or so I was just starting at a job too and had to tell them I had a trip alreasy planned and payed for and they were cool about it.
