Hello this is my first time on any kind of forum so i have a 1992 ford ranger 4.0 and the driver side door is sagging the pins are worn out or the bushings rather and it has proven to be almost impossible to locate any replacement pins let alone any information about the dimensions of what the pin should be i need help any information would be helpful thanks in advence

Google is your best friend when searching for parts...just google up "1992 Ford Ranger hinge pins"
Check Parts Geek....they list hinge pins for your 1992 for around 17 bucks. Complete new hinge is 38 bucks.
Dorman also lists hinge pins for your Ranger.
Also, LMC Truck has a dedicated catalog for Rangers. It can be a source for some hard to find parts for the older trucks.

Thank you guys I have looked on lmc truck and it is a different type of hinge i have found out that the reason is because Ford has discontinued the hinge so I cannot order them I am going to just have to replace the hinge with the new style I was really trying to avoid doing it that way but I guess it’s the nature of the beast I was even looking for dimensions so I could just machine my own i had no luck on that either

 

The selection doesn’t let you order the top hinge and doesn’t offer pins for the old style this is an lmc truck catalog

 

I just looked at my current issue of LMC Ranger catalog, and found 2 different hinge's for Rangers.
1983-1992 are on page 50, and 1993-2011 aree on page 52. Both have pins and full hinge's. I would think your Ranger would have to have one of those types.

 

The page 50 in the new book is the same as page 16 in my old catalog where it shows the upper hinge there is no option to order the bracket or the pin does anybody have any suggestions like I said before even the universal type pins when I check vehicle fitment it always tells me that the part will not work on my year I have had one hit for this part on BRONCO GRAVEYARD if anybody else is having this same issue I believe I am going to try it I will let you guys know if it works
