1993 front bumper...

Greetings from Lancaster, PA, I recently acquired a 93' Ranger w/78,000 original miles! 5 speed, I love it. I need a front bumper (Chrome) I've checked Ebay of course, but being a neophyte I'm not exactly sure what to get, some of them have holes for this and that... Some don't. And is this a DYS job? Please advise!!!

If your handy and have some basic tools, wrenches, socket sets, it is a simple bolt on DIY job.
I would suggest you look up LMC Parts, speciffically the Ranger catalog, on-line.
Pages 29-32, and 63-65 picture all models of bumpers, parts, available for all years. If your unsure, simply match up what you have with their pictures.
Some Ford warehouses will also, possibly have old stock of bumpers. And, there is always the junk yard.

For info, there are a number of companies that buy up NOS (new-old-stock) of parts from auto manufacturers. There are a lot of new parts for older vehicles out there, you just have to search. Companies like Ford Parts Giant.com (I checked and bumpers are no longer available)
LMC carries lots, but I don't know who produces their parts, or if there "factory". Maybe someone else with better knowledge will chime in.
But, yes, LMC has them, and you may have to pay extra for shipping a large part. Only other recourse is a junk yard where your still looking at a 26 year old part...definately not going to be new.

Thanks to you I have recourse now! LMC is a great resource, as is A1 AUTO, I need a head liner for the 93' and A1 stocks them, I only paid $1,200 for the truck, (has less than 80,000 on it) so I have to put a few hundred into it and I'll have a decent truck! PLUS it's a 5 speed manual. Thanks so much for your help!!! Anthony.

Glad to help.
Also, another good company is NOS Parts Ltd. They carry a lot of new/old stock parts for Fords/lincolns/Mercury's, including your 93 Ranger.
All new stuff...better than junk yard stuff you have to restore.

Grumpaw! I can't thank you enough, though your recommendations and advice I've secured the bumper & the head liner through LMC & 1A respectively. Took me all of 10 minutes... All the best to you & really, thanks again!!! Anthony Ranger 5speed.
