1993 ranger 4.0L 4x4 parking brake and abs light on

I'm the original owner. 280,000. Runs great. Brakes are all working. Just replaced the abs hydraulic control unit. Bled the whole system.
Why is my lights still on. I got a 4 code when I got the codes. Can't figure out what else would be doing this. HELP!

Welcome to the forum

The Red brake light will come on if Parking brake is on OR if fluid level is low in Master
Yellow ABS light will come on if fluid level is low as well

So check fluid level, and also unplug the sensor on the master and make sure connector/contacts are clean

The fluid level sensor is a GROUND when fluid is low, so when you unplug it see if Brake and ABS lights are both OFF now, if so that sensor is causing the lights to come on, so if fluid level is OK then sensor is bad, shorted to ground
You can leave it unplugged until its repaired

The ABS light "may" stay on because Master fluid level sensor is unplugged, but not sure

Things like ABS modules are safety units so often use a passive voltage to "see" if things are connected
