Always gotta make it better

Sup, y'all. I am new to this forum and for some strange reason I always have to know how things work. I have built a few hot rods in my day from Falcons to a SBF toyota 4x4. I am currently collecting the knowledge to repurpose a 99 explorer 5.0 into my one owner 400K+ 92 Ranger, the poor 'ol girl is just wore out. Mechanically we are set put this computer mumbo jumbo is new to me, give me a holley and you will fly, give me EFI and I am brain dead. I look forward to many posts of what to do now. Oh, and anyone in the Tulsa area that has done this before, I have a big shop with cold beverages, we can be best friends......Cheers

Welcome to the forum

I have been answering your questions in your other thread

Didn't see this back ground

If you are going to run a manual trans then a 5.0l carb setup might not be too bad to consider, no computer
There are a few extra wires to do when going from a 1992 OBD1 to a 1999 OBD2 system, which were not required in a 1995 -2003 Ranger 5.0l swap

But since you already have the EFI and computer, you are right, its good to learn new things
