Can I replace my 93 ranger engine with Bronco II engine?
I have a 1993 Ford Ranger XLT with a 3.0 engine. 171K. The engine locked up, leaking oil profusely, left chocolate milk puddle, so water is mixed in.
A friend knows where there's a Bronco II engine, 3.0, rebuilt, in a basement. But first things first ... Can I swap it out without a lot of modifications?
Thanks for any insight ...

No, the Bronco II's only came with a 2.8l or 2.9l Cologne engine, completely different engine than the 3.0l Vulcan
You would need to swap in engine, transmission and computer, along with engine wiring harness for the computer
You can use a 1986 to 2008 3.0l Vulcan, used in several Ford model cars and vans, NOT 3.0l Duratec, 3.0l VULCAN is what you need
