Cruise Control

I bought a 2020 4 cylinder Ranger in January which is magic except for the cruise control. I have set it for 110km/h on the freeway and it sits on that speed for a little while then I notice it has dropped speed so the cruise control is not holding the requested speed. Can anybody help me out with assistance please?

Welcome to the forum

Dealer should be told, its still under warranty

It is "adaptive" Cruise Control, which means if there is another vehicle in front of you Cruise will slow down to match speeds

How close is the car that is in front of you ?

Your cruise control will slow down and maintain the speed of the car in front of you if it thinks you are getting to close.

It drops out of the cruise control regardless of traffic in front or none at all.

Do you use your left foot for braking ?

You would be surprised with the amount of people I see driving 70 mph uphill on the interstate and their brake lights keep coming on with no cars in front of them.
