I once had a "crummy", slang term for 4x4s used to run long distances on gravel and dirt roads, rattled to death and paint all scraped off from branches, and of course the odd dent from going into a ditch, lol.
Mine was a 1974 GMC Jimmy, great reliable vehicle for the back roads
