First ranger, some issues.
Hey ya'll, I bought a 03 ranger 3.0 edge a few months ago, and it has been a bit of a pain.
Things I have fixed so far:
- Harmonic balancer replaced, the original one had a crack and it caused for truck to stall randomly
- Key fob changed (both key and ignition), the anti theft stayed on some random day, and we had to clear the Anti-theft cache on the ecu.
- Clutch, brake and gas pedals replaced, original ones springs gave out
- Slave / master clutch cyl, since we thought the those were bad but it turned out it was the actual pedals.
- New thermostat
current issues :
- Truck randomly stalls, most recently on the freeway, after 15-20 mins of very easy use, no traffic, it just shut down, pulled over, I noticed the top of the radiator wasn't hot, just barely warm, I removed it, and there wasn't any water spill, the hose that goes into the engine/thermostat, was a bit hard, not swollen, but definitely felt that the thermostat should be opened by then, so I replaced the thermostat yesterday drove the truck around a few miles, and everything seemed fine.
This morning truck cranked but died (see video)
Any input on what you might think could be will be greatly appreciate it.
