Fresh blood here. Yes, my Cruise Control doesn't work.

Sorry to ask for help on such a mundane and repetitive problem. I've tried so many things and I've hit a wall, would love some insight from the much more experienced. I bought an 02' B2300 manual "supercab" a few weeks ago. 150k miles but mechanically its in amazing condition. I knew speed control wasn't working when I bought it, not a deal breaker and thought I'd have some fun figuring out what was broken at some point. Fun time is over now.

Good news first, my buttons works, and I am able to perform the start-up diagnostic. I get a perfect match for this error code:
" If the lamp does not flash with the last button, and the additional flashes occur, follow the list below for trouble codes:
  • 2 flashes: Brake pedal position (BPP) switch is defective, circuit is defective, or brake pedal is applied; clutch pedal position (CPP) switch is defective, circuit is defective, or clutch pedal is applied."
Seems like a pretty common problem, except all my brake lights work perfectly, the parking brake switch works, and the clutch switch is working because I can't start the truck without the clutch engaged. Never the less, I went ahead and replaced the Brake Light Switch and the Brake Fluid Pressure Sensor and Harness (aka Cruise Control Release Switch).

Still no cruise control, still getting the same flash codes. I appreciate anyone's advice, and hope I'm not asking too much as a first poster. What's next?

I would suspect the clutch pedal switch.

It's 2 switches in 1

Fully depressed to start

Fully released for cruise

I didn't realize it was 2 switches. Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a try and report back.

Just replaced the switch, no luck. Still get the same flash codes. All the new parts I mentioned are still installed as well.
