Good tire size for stock 95 ranger 2wd?
Welcome to the forum
What are you after?
Looks or MPG
Larger diameter and wider gives a better look, but less MPG
Smaller diameter and thinner is better MPG
Here are stock tires sizes used in 1995: https://tiresize.com/tires/Ford/Ranger/1995/
Largest tire offered on a 2WD was 235/60R15 which has 26" diameter
Don't see the 195/75R14 as stock but its 25.5" diameter
The stock 195/70R14 was 24.7" diameter
The largest tire on a 4WD was 265/70R15 at 29.6" diameter
But 4WDs had an extra 2" of height in wheel wells
You could probably get away with 235/70R15 which is 28" diameter tire, 27" for sure
Wheels/rims are for looks, only thing that matters is tire's diameter and if it can fit in the wheel well without rubbing
i.e. an 18" rim with a 225/55R18 tire has diameter of 27.7"
And its just the front wheels that are the issue, when you turn if a tire is too large it will rub the fenders
Or if you hit a bump while turning, like pulling into a parking lot from the street
And on a 28 year old vehicle its hard to say exactly since the suspension is not new, lol

Tires
I am not sure how my tires are 195/75/14s but the rims measure at 15 inches since I measured them and the spare is a 15inch. Someone must have crammed them on there. But I am mainly looking for more height on my ride at the cost of a few mpg. Now when I measured my wheels they where 23 or 24 inches so 27s and 28s are a big improvement from that. I might get a lift kit on my truck to fit bigger tires or I'll see how it goes or maybe a leveling kit I want big ones but not anything that will make my truck really slow, thanks for the tips.
