Help with 2.3 dohc piston rod orentition

 

I don't know much about those engines. With some pistons it makes no difference. Some have valve reliefs in them, so it could have an orientation. There could be some kind of offset that would require orientation, but I have never come across any like that. Some photos may help someone in determining orientation if needed.

 

Pistons will have an obvious mark on the top edge that goes towards the front of engine, can be a dot or even an arrow, if no mark then doesn't matter

 

I need to no the way the roff goes on tje piston so I dont connect to yo the crank wrong

Than your SOL....No one in there right mind removes piston without first marking them....Its not a mistake as you say....
