Icon5 Hello My Name Is Sam!

Hello Ranger Forum People.... I'm very happy to be here. I'm one of those Mazda B2300 owners. My 2004 Mazda B2300 4x2 regular cab was assembled in New Jersey! I bought it new in 2005 out here in California. It was my daily driver up until November 19th 2020. I made the mistake of parking it on the street in front of my neighbors house while I was doing some repairs on my driveway entrance gate. It was 5AM or so when I started working. Took an 8 minute break to go into the house and get some fluids. When I went back outside to continue my work, I noticed that my truck was gone. Yes someone had stolen it. My fault. My responsibility. Well after reporting the theft to the various police agencies, the reality of being truckless and having been robbed started to sink in. Of course I went looking. Los Angeles is a fairly large metropolis. Thoughts that it might be in Mexico crossed my mind. I road my bicycle many nights for 4 and 5 hours a night looking. On December 12th I was notified by the LAPD that my truck had been recovered and towed to an OPG garage a few miles from my home. Went to retrieve it. It was now wheel and tireless resting on 1 wheel that was held on by 2 lug nuts. Of course the wheel and tire did not belong to my truck. To make a long story longer....Also missing ... rear tail lights, catalytic converter, wiring harness that had been cut at the cab entrance to the engine compartment . Power steering pump gone. A/C compressor...Battery. The thieves were kind enough to leave the engine compartment fuse box minus most of the fuses and that is most of what was stolen. Of course they stole the remaining gasoline also. Well being who I am. I had the remains of my truck flatbed towed to my home where the OPG tow guy was kind enough to dump it in my driveway. Earlier in preparation I built four 'skateboards' (license to humor myself taken here) out of some Harbor Freight small furniture dollies. I jacked it up and eventually my truck was resting on 4 home made 'skateboards'. I thought it might roll easily into an enclosed area I had built in my driveway. I was wrong. Seeing how I was born in the middle of the last century I was confused by my truck not moving no matter how hard I pushed. I eventually retired from my physical failings and used my other vehicle to push it into place... First thing I replaced were the wheels and tires which I did last week. It looks great. Sitting in my driveway. Now I want to put it back together best I can and hopefully get it running again. I'm not a mechanic by any means.Of course I'm not letting that stop me. I have a lot of questions about what ranger parts and from what years will prove to be compatible with my 2004 New Jersey assembled Mazda. Thank you for letting me rattle on for so long. If anybody actually reads this full post..I thank you. I ***** be visiting a bunch of threads to try to gain isight on what may or may not be compatible. Just asking for a little patience if my questions appear exactly as ignorant as they are. I'm sammymann on this Ford Ranger site. I'm looking forward to the wisdom from those of you who know way more about what I'm trying to accomplish than I do. Thank you...Very much. I already feel a bit more at ease as I attempt to complete what seems to be an insurmountable project. Sincerely sammymann
