Hi everybody, I already have a few questions, thanks in advance.
Hi everybody, I already have a few questions, thanks in advance.
Hi, long story short, I'm 32, I live in Québec and I would describe myself as a "good" mechanic (It's not my trade by any means but I've been screwing around with cars since I'm 16, mostly old Volvos.)
I'm glad that this place exist and I'm familiar with some car forums (I'm active on Turbobricks and RallyAnarchy).
I just got myself the Miata of pickups (Mazda b2300 2009 with manual trans.)
I live in a place full of hills with snow and ice and all that crap, so the first thing I would like to do to the truck is a good lsd.
What are the options?
What diff is on my truck?
I'm perfectly ok getting an axle assembly from the P'n'P if it's cheaper, I would simply need to know what vehicle I need to look for.
What kind of final drive is available for these things?
I have a grinder and a welder and a will to use them.
Cheers everyone and thanks in advance.

Use the tool at the top of the screen that's titled vin decoder. That'll help with options.
As for axle, look inside the drivers door jamb for the axle code. Then look it up online, it'll tell you the ring gear size, final drive ratio and if it's limited slip.

Also new to the forum, but have been a ranger owner for 15 years.
