Hi! Joining to learn more so I can work on my late father’s 2001 Ranger
Greetings, everyone,
I was fortunate enough to be raised by a wonderful, mechanically-inclined father. Unfortunately, I didn’t inherit his mechanical know-how.
He passed unexpectedly 5 years ago, and one of the things he asked me to do was to make sure that my son (who is 8) got his truck when he was older.
I have driven it less than 2,000 miles in the last 5 years (mostly short trips with my son or daughter), but I’m hoping to make it my daily driver and keep it in excellent shape so that it’s ready for my son when he’s older.
As I said, I’m not mechanically-inclined, but I’m patient and am good at following instructions.
I’ve also had a 1993 2,3L Ranger (my vehicle all through college), a 1977 F-150 Ranger, and I currently drive a 1972 F100 that thinks it’s a Ranger.
