Introduction

My name is Dave, I have not owned a truck since 1995. I just purchased a well used 2003 Ford Ranger Edge (177,000 miles) that needs some work, and will have me doing small projects for the immediate future. I'm told the 2003 Ranger may need some transmission work, although there is no obvious indication or signs of trouble for the 30 miles I have driven it to date (highway and roads. Most are minor repairs, and parts are on order. The bigger issues are the transmission shifter shifter and Overdrive cap is busted off - looks like someone took vice grips to the handle. My major issue and plenty of Internet searching over the last 24 hours is not being to able to find an OEM replacement flare for the driver's side rear fender, it got clipped clean off. Problem is I can't find an exact replacement part. Don't have a manual yet, so that's part of the problem. It's good to have a truck on the homestead once again and being able to move bigger things needed that an SUV can't handle. I'm looking forward to the networking experiences and maybe learning some things along the way. I'm in Southern California.
