Hi My name is Pete and I'm an addict :) I'm 68 years old and I still like to play with cars..lol. Recently, I bought a 1997 Ranger step side. It has a 2.3, 5-speed manual trans. This is my fourth Ranger. I've had a 1985, 1998, 2003 and now this1997. I actually bought it through eBay. I placed a bid and to my surprise, I won the auction :)

Naturally, I can't leave things as they are with the truck. So one of the first projects that I'm tackling is switching the rear axle. I could leave it alone, but, there is some play in the ring and pinion gears and it is making some noise. Also, I want disc brakes in the rear. Fortunately, I found a rear axle locally off a 2011 Ranger. I will be removing it this weekend :)

Another project I'm currently working on is replacing the og radio for a 2 din Android setup.

That's it for now, I have a couple of hours to work on the truck before the wife and I head off for Thanksgiving adventures.
