Rear Axle Question

I found a rear end for a 2003 ranger
It says it is a 8.8" ring gear, 9" brakes, 4.10 ratio

How do I know what size brakes I got?

They also list one wth 10"

other info listed

if its a regular cab, it has 9" drums
if its a super cab it has 10" drums
or so im told. i ve never seen a super cab with 9" or a reg cab stock with 10"

*all edges have 10" brakes*

if it was in a FX4, then it has 10" brakes. It will bolt in no problem.

The LII axle is a bolt in swap. Just be sure that it includes the brakes or at least the brake backing plates. The backing plates on your 28-spline will not bolt up to the flanges on a 31-spline LII axle housing.

Do not use the fill level hole on the back of the Ex cover - it is positioned for the IRS diff. Your axle needs a higher fluid level to lubricate the wheel bearings. Instead, use the original fill level hole on the side of the differential housing.
