I'm interested in toolbox security in the beds of Rangers. Any experiences where a toolbox supposedly secured in the bed came loose while traceling?

my toolbox has never budged.. if you used screws id suggest tightening them every once in a while.

 

Welcome to RF. Are you talking about over the rail or under the rail toolboxes? I've had two over the rail boxes and both were secured with j-hooks to the bedside. Neither came loose and i had my weatherguard pretty loaded up where i actually needed another person to take it out when i went to pick up a refrigerator.

 

when I had mine on the ranger, I never had any issues. Used j-hooks under the rail and kept toolbox locked so it had to be opened to get the j-hooks loose.
