Hey everybody this is my first Ford Ranger so i figured id join a forum to gain knowledge and assistance for any questions or thoughts I may have. 1999, 3.0L V6 rwd automatic(sadly) with 275,xxx miles. Engine has a lot of new oe style replacement parts and runs great, purrs nice and quiet with no pings or ticks or any thing, takes a crank longer than im used to when turning the key. Automatic it makes a very slight noise that winds up with rpms but seems to disappear after second someone told me it sounds fine and surprisingly good especially for a older truck with that many miles. Second automatic ive ever owned so i dont know but it shifts smooth.throughout all gears and doesnt slip at all so..... Wish it was a stick but cant complain. I somewhat knew the previous owner who passed but he took very good care of anything mechanical although cosmetically not so much. It looks like a beat up work truck but it blends in. Got it from the guys wife for such a good deal i dont want to say exactly but under $500 with up to date reg. and it passed smog so it was a steal imo.
