Greetings. I'm new to the forum but have been reading posts since acquiring my 01 Ranger in February of this year. Had to perform the dreaded timing chain guide replacement on the 4.0 so started reading threads before working on the truck. Been running well now for 1500 miles since the repair. Figured I would join to try to give back to a forum that has been both informative and enjoying to read.

So I believe I am obsessed with this truck. Since I have had it I have done the following:
timing chains and guides, complete tranny flush with new filter, rear end flush with new axle seals, front end flush with new seals all around, new universal joints, new upper and lower ball joints and front hubs, new fuel pump, new brakes and tires. She looks and runs great! If I didn't do the work myself it wouldn't have been worth the expense but now I have a great truck that should last a while. 166700 miles and counting 👍🏾
