New member with one question for now
Wasssupp yall. My name is Liam and I'm glad to finally be a member of ranger-forums. I've used the sight so many times to help me with my first ranger (1999 XL). Sadly I sold her for $500 when a few of my rods had the idea to disintegrate and do some decent damage to the inside of my engine. My ambitious 16 year old self thought of ways to keep it running like almost swapping out for a 302, but ambition quickly gets shot down when you realize you're 16 and have $50 in your savings. 2 years later after driving (and crashing) an 03 Accord, I decided to get a ranger again. Now here is my question, What exactly do I have? not sure if its an xlt level 2 or no but it is FX4. Heres a picture for you guys to ponder at. Thanks! -Liam

Welcome to the forum
What year is it?
Get the VIN number and look here: The Ford Truck 17-Digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) Decoder
That will give you some info about it
Ford Dealer can sometimes look up your VIN and tell you the option packages it had when sold new.
Option packages depend on the model year
"FX4-off road" was a 4WD package but had a few options that could be added
No, not a Level II
Off Road usually had taller tires, skid plates, heavy duty shocks, and chrome bumpers, but as said it varied by year
Some have Limited Slip rear axle, get code from drivers door sticker and look here: Ford 7.5 & 8.8 Inch Axle Tag & Door Codes
Nice looking Ranger
