New Member / Ranger VS Colorado
Hello I'm a new member here and I was wondering if i can get some help with the decision im currently trying to make, I'm looking for a used truck and im not sure if i should buy a Colorado or a Ranger. I've had a Ranger before but messed up the engine trying to replace the front hydraulic timing chain tensioner on my 04 4.0L V6 Ranger, learned my lesson their. I recently sold that truck and I'm thinking about getting a Colorado but im not sure because I could pickup an extended cab ranger for cheaper then a crew cab Colorado but basically pay a similar price if i get the extended cab Colorado instead of the ranger. I don't wana pick up a 2 door truck because i enjoy the extra space of an extended cab, and don't wana go full sized due to the insurance and gas cost. I need a truck to bring my dirtbike to the track or desert, carry my welding supplies, and get me around town. I know that both trucks have their problems and i wanted to see what truck would be more reliable around the 130K range, i've been going back and fourth recently debating the pros and cons that i know about the trucks, any help would be appreciated sorry for making this so long.

I have nothing against Chevy's, When I was looking for a new to me truck, I was looking at them all.
The only reason I bought the Ranger, it was the first thing that had all the features, low mileage, price and passed my mechanics inspection that came along.

Oh okay I see, unfortunately I dont have a mechanic so it's just me and family member checking out the truck. The first ranger I bought I thought was good but ended up giving me some problems with the timing chain after awhile of driving it. It got so bad I could barely do 45 without hearing a concerning rattling noise when accelerating. I tried high and low gearing it didnt make a difference. So I decided to try and fix the problem myself replacing the front tensioner.
