Newbie with a Bronco II
This is my feeler post to this site. I don't know how accepted I will be here but heck I will give it a shot. I am the proud owner of a Bronco II... I know Bronco II, not a Ranger but hey it is Ranger based right? I have done a few things to it including my latest mod. The Ranger 4.0L engine. I am a member of TheRangerStation but am curious if this site is any better. I am always looking for tune up suggestions or any input on my truck. I also like to trade parts so hopefully this site will be helpful. Well that is the short and sweet of it.

Here are some pics of my truck from when I purchased it. I have not taken many since then due to the fact that it is still my work in progress. My goal is to make it one of the cleanest Bronco II's out there.
Some facts on my truck:
1985 Bronco II Eddie Bauer Eddition
Not one spot of rust! Interior is original and spotless.
Used to have the 2.8L but now has a 4.0L from a 94 Navajo. Is not running yet but will be this weekend after I run a high press. fuel line. I have completely rebuilt the 4.0 before I slipped it in the truck. Mods on the engine are as follows:
Comp Cams 422 Camshaft
Dual valve springs
Original Heads reworked with 3 angle valve seats and a port and polish job.
K&N cold air intake off of a 2001 5.0 Explorer
Pacesetter headers (I would advise against pacesetter with my limited experience on them. I had to port the intake on the headers just so I wouldn't get restriction on the exhaust. The fit was very lacking. I had to modify the Y collection on them so they were not interfering with my transmission or the frame.) I have done Edelbrock in the past and loved them. They are worth the price.
Electric Fan with adjustable stat switch.
M50D-R1 trans with the original BW 1350 manual transfercase. (Modification was needed for the shift linkage to my transfercase)
185 deg thermostat
More is to come but here it is!
The last one is the old 2.8L. I am going to miss it... Wait... not really.

Almost identical except for the bed in the back. Ha. I have a few parts from my 2.8 I am getting rid of if you are interested. Edelbrock headers, Reworked heads, Mallory Distributer with ignition module. The distributer is listed on ebay but if you are interested I will give you the link. I am sure it will go for a killer price.

Don't have front shots yet. I do need to get them tho. Front is just as clean as the rest of the truck. The beige pinstripe is worn off from the sun and the beige on the rockers is painted over by the flat black. It was a Nevada truck so the sun as done some work on aging the paint. I like the Black rockers tho. I am going to repaint the truck soon. Same colors but am still up in the air about putting a black pinstripe down or not. Any thoughts?
