Getting my Ranger in 2 weeks first generation 4x4

Hi everbody. I am getting a first gen in 2 weeks, the guy selling it needs it to complete a remodel he is doing and the truck should be coming after that. I know the seller very well and he has kept it in excellent mechanical condition. The body is quite rough but everything is solid on it and the 4x4 works great. Sorry I don't have a picture at this time. When I get one I will post it.

What kind of security should I get for it if anybody has any ideas. I was thinking of the club or that thing that attaches to the brake. Anybody have any ideas to keep thieves away from it. I am in Honolulu and there is quite a bit of this kind of crime here.

Thanks everybody and nice to meet you
Jeff

It looks like a diamond in the rough. I wouldn't worry to much about an alarm system. if somebody really wants the truck, an alarm probably won't stop them.

Yeah I have to agree with StxDangerRanger, I would look at getting an anti theft switch installed, its easy to do and they work great, basically a switch that cuts power at your fuel pump, u just gotta hide the switch somewhere in the cab a theif would waste way to much time trying to find. But welcome to the site man

almost forgot, if u wanna get ur truck looking badass for really cheap, sand the whole body down and spray it with rock guard it looks awesome
