another silly idea
never seen it done, so i'm gonna post it and see if i'm the only one whose ever thought of it.
ever seen/tried/thought about seat-mounted subs? (on the back/ maybe even partially inside) i could see it being done a few ways, not sure how well it would work, but i like the idea. a space-saver to say the least.

haha, I was just picturing him hanging them on the back of his driver's seat... I dunno. Is the truck extended cab? Seen lots of different ways to put subs in the back. Obviously going to cause space issues regardless.
You might be able to find a thin box for a single cab that might hold 1 10" or 1 12" sub. Not sure how much space you've got going on back there. Worth measuring and going to look at boxes tho, see if one will fit without you having to be smashed up into your steering wheel.
yeah i'm extremely pressed for space, being 6'6". i was actually considering (since i have like 40-20-40 seating instead of 40-60) removing the seat below the armrest in the middle and finding a way to put a sub there with a strong protective grate, the only problem being all the crap in the armrest box would rattle like a *****, but i might line that with rubber or cloth or something to quiet it.
Do what I did put your sub box in the bed of the truck and cut it through. You'll need a tonneau cover or shell and some 4" gasket stuff for camper shells. I've got two 12" subs in a ported box that looks pretty cool. I fabricated the back of my seats to mount the amps and I don't think I've ever heard a Ranger hit so hard. My seats are fully functional and I get a nice back massage while driving.
