Yeah, I slept in the back of my truck b4 too. The last time me and a buddy went campin we backed our Rangers up tailgate to tailgate (with them down) and slept back there. And actually I plan on doing that this coming up weekend. All you need is a little padding, a pillow and maybe some covers (depending on the temperture) and your set.

during late spring, summer, and early fall I'll sleep in the bed of my truck when camping.

Ingredients:
1 foam pad
1 general-purpose sleeping bag (added padding)
1 20°F rated sleeping bag (in this case serves as a blanket)
1 pillow
3249875045675426 stars
1 milkyway overhead.

haha wow reminds me of the time me and a few friends went on this camping trip on a lake. There was absolutely no alcohol allowed on the premesis but we snuck some in there anyway and we drank over 180 beers (6 cases with 30 in them) with these hot chicks that were camping too and we were all drunk. We all got into my ranger (I was in the bed with some chick haha and my other friend was in the cab with some other chick with both doors open), and when we woke up in the morning, the girls were gone and my other friend somehow was sleeping on the roof, crazy night, never drank that much again!

Why not buy the mattress that fits perfect into the back of the truck? For May 19th weekend, here in Canada is a long weekend. I will be sleeping in the back. I picked up a tent and now I need the air mattress and I shall see how it goes!

i did this during the summer after parties. Id pass out at about 2 or 3 am in my bed and pull the soft tonneau i used to have almost fully closed. Id wake up at 4:30 and be at work by 5. I mean its not the most comfortable sleeping area but it sure beats gettin a DUI

yeah ive done it before too. I even slept in the rear of my cab all curled up. i woke up and couldnt even move. If i can find a cap for cheap i will keep it for taking my truck camping and having a twin bed in it.

hell yeah, i love my 7ft bed.

a twin size mattress fits perfect with the tailgate closed.

i have almost the same setup, just with an ARE hard cover.

i havent slept...

but other things have happened.

theres always a huge beach towel behind my seat. so when i dont use it as a pad for the bed, i use it to cover up my huge subs that you can see from the back window.

Holy old thread here batman!

While on the subject... I sleep better in the bed of my truck than in my own bed. Screw a cap or air mattress... I use my sleeping bag, lay it out, then use my tent when I'm not using it as a pillow.

Yeah I usually use a sleeping bag for padding and a comforter for warmth and have like 3pillows and I sleep like a baby in the bed after a long night drinking Coors.
