Mine are currently stock but with flat black paint on them and it looks sick...but I may just try krylon glossy on them and the grille for prom just to see how it looks. Has anyone done this on here and if so could you pretty please post pictures. THANK YOU. and does the shine wear off?

 

Not stock rims no, I have old school wire wheels with black spokes and chrome lips, I painted them with glossy 96 cent walmart paint. They look great.

 

so they did come out alright? ok. Do they lose shine?

 

i got mine powder coated. they are currently for sale

 

They will eventually lose shine if you don't prep and clear.

I just clean them up every few months and put a new coat on. Good as new.

powdercoat is nice, and not too expensive.

 

Dave I would say heck yes but You live in Rhode Island..and I dont. So shipping will suck giant *****. Ill just cheap it and clear coat

I would buy those from ya but shipping to Rochester NY would cost me more than I can get them powdercoated locally for.

 

dave has a very reasonable price, even with shipping on thise wheels. you would avoid having to have tires mounted/unmounted and not have wheels for however long it will take to get them from the powdercoaters. logistically much easier and you can sell your stockers for some cash back.

Sorry, I couldn't be farther from you and still be in NY.
Besides I'm starting to lean towards 18" rims. Something bigger if I'm going to do it. If I had a 4x4 I'd be buying your rims for sure.
Still have the stock 15" chrome 7 spokes on there now. I'll keep those for my snow tires.

Powder coat only runs about $80 a wheel and looks awesome.
